I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Central Florida in Psychology and a Master of Science Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Rosen College of Hospitality Management also at the University of Central Florida. I have over 7 years of experience in the special events industry with an emphasis in event operations management. I have planned and managed all types of events for 10 to 8,000 guests while working at the largest destination management companies in the nation. I also have event management experience in the non-profit industry coordinating elaborate fundraising galas and creative social events.
My event management knowledge and education has presented opportunities in many different directions, but after assisting several family members and friends with their special day, I realized that my love for creating personalized, unique weddings is exactly what I was meant to do.
Abby Cohen
From a young age, I have always been creative, very detailed and organized. Not only do I love to plan events as a career, but my friends & family would all agree that I am a “planner” at heart. Whether I’m going on a weekend trip or having a girl’s night out, I LOVE to plan creative and unique things to do.
I earned a degree from the University of Central Florida in Hospitality Management, with a focus on Event Management. During my time in college, I was very involved in planning social events for my sorority. I also had the great experience of planning several events for UCF through my event management classes. I have over 6 years of experience in the corporate events industry, having worked at Hard Rock Live, Universal & the largest full-service event management company in Florida. Through these experiences, I have coordinated hundreds of special events with 2,500+ guests for numerous Fortune 500 companies, such as Toyota, Marriott & Boston Scientific.
After helping several friends and family members plan their weddings and bridal events, I realized that my niche was in wedding planning. I love seeing the final product of my hard work & helping create the most important day of someone’s life!
